Details on licensing of your Frontier Voice Cloud Music on Hold
The Frontier Network’s Voice Cloud has music elements contained within for various purposes which include ‘music on hold’ or ‘call bridging’. During these periods music is played. These files are contained in our data centres and are shared across multiple instances of our cloud based platform.
Agencies such as SOCAN (the Society of Composers, Authors and Music Publishers of Canada) or The American Society of Composers (ASCAP) are both organizations that represents the performing rights of songwriters, composers and music publishers from around the world. They exist to ensure that proper compensation is paid to those individuals who’s product is used for ‘on-hold’ periods similar to how we use them.
The music that we have sourced for this purpose is Royalty-free. For both us and you it means that we have the right to use copyrighted material or intellectual property without the need to pay ongoing or further royalties or license fees outside of the initial consideration paid when we licensed the music that we use.
